Bullying can be a major problem in our schools, workplaces, homes, and online. Over the month of February, and throughout the year, Pink Shirt Day aims to bring awareness to the issue, and raise funds to support programs that foster healthy self-esteem in children.
Over the past two years a small group of employees have helped to organize Pink Shirt Day activities for CHSC. We’ve supported this by selling pink shirts and wristbands, creating awareness posters, decorating the lunch rooms, gathering and sharing anti-bullying pledges and images from all our staff on social media and through In the Loop articles.
Since bullying impacts so many physically and psychologically, why not lend a hand to help organize this year’s event? If you would like to be involved in the planning of this special event, please contact Lauren Hristoski, Project Coordinator for Human Resources at 250 -469-7070 ext. 12766 for more information and no later than Jan. 16. Please also check in with your manager as there will be some minimal time required during scheduled work hours to organize the day.
